Moonlight over Sandycove, Dublin, Ireland with The James Joyce Tower

Sandycove Moonlight

When the moon shines over Sandycove it can be very dramatic. This photographs was taken with a long exposure.

This means that the lens was open for an extended period. This enables photographs to be created in low lighting conditions, such as at night time. In the photograph a bird was standing still for the whole exposure. The total time was around twenty five seconds. I only noticed the bird when i printed the photograph. It is amazing to think that it didn't flinch once in all that time!. It was perfectly still.
