Rain is such a major part of our life in Ireland that it is difficult to avoid any time of the year. The up side to this is that it can lead to some great photographs. I took this photograph in Booterstown Strand, Dublin. When the tide is out you can walk out onto the beach for miles. The day I took this photo I was strolling along the Strand and a thunderous rain storm happened upon the city. It spread across the sky with dark tenticles of cloud. Then the rain began and I made a hasty retreat to shelter.
