There was a time a couple of years ago that the skyline of Dublin was covered in cranes. Cranes here, there and everywhere. The developers, with the
backing of the politicians, changed the landscape of our city considerably. New houses, offices and apartments was the order of the day. Many of these newly built structures are now empty with not enough people or businesses to fill them.
The cranes are now gone. The city is getting back to some normality and hopefully older buildings can be restored instead of being demolished to be replaced by offices. This photographs shows a mixture of modern and old buildings, like the Boland Mill on the right. Thankfully the Mill has survived the wrecking ball of the Celtic Tiger and will hopefully be standing in the future.
